What is more, what is often true and thus beautifully ironic, is that even though the two in the relationship may not see each other much, they see everyone else even less frequently.

But that cuts both ways, because sometimes everyone, on both sides of the fence, seems to not realize the emotional beating you take on both fronts when you so desperately want to be with the lover you haven't touched in months - but just as desperately need to have the friends you love by your side and in your life.

It's not an easy thing, you don't get it right on the first couple tries, some will say you've never gotten it right, but that's where an endless well of understanding only present in the people you love come into play. It may be too much to ask of everyone involved, but it really shouldn't be.
