Road March predictions...

1) Jumbie - Machel Montano
2) Open the Gate - Shurwayne Winchester
3) Higher Than High - Machel Montano

I saw Winchester perform last night, and he's a damn good performer. I was pleasantly surprised. We had mad fun. I did not get to see Machel live yet for Carnival, and at this rate I doubt I will... which sucks. Ah well.

Now, let's see how well I can predict Road March.

As Machel put it in his post-road march interview...
It was a "dread cut-ass"...
and that it was.

Took a while to grow on me too...the road made the real impact though.
The slower pace was perfect for everyone from Tribe to Revelers...

Damn. Machel mash up.
He was definitely by favourite artist this year - as I type this I've been listening to Higher than High (+ Remix), Light it Up, One for time, Tonight and Jumbie on repeat for at least the past hour.

Jumbie is a grower though. I didn't like it the first 3-4 times I listened to it, but now it's in the top 5 for this year.
