Chivalry to the hilt?

Okay, I pose this question primarily to the women:

We all know (or have least heard of) the age-old practice of sleeping on the couch when upset with your mate, but today I was told that no matter what the circumstance the MAN should be the one out the door. When pressed the reasons ranged from because it's just the way it's supposed to be (chivalry), to it just shows he cares... Now I ask you, if the WOMAN is the one in the wrong, should the man really still be the one to sleep on the couch? Shouldn't the whole couch thing be based on right/wrong and not a blind gender stereotype which takes effect when couples are upset with one another?

This disturbs me, so please, even if you feel the man should be the one out on his ass, give me an explanation that doesn't leave me - and men in general - totally befuddled and aghast.

Leaving on a (I hope it doh fall outta de sky) jetplane

I always worry about BWIA's planes (even though I flying TravelSpan, go figure). They didn't buy them new (did they?) and one wonders what type of diagnostics and maintenance they do on them...

ANYWAY.

I'm going home for 2 months. I will be gone from the 9th of June until the 8th of August. I'm going to help out as much as I can back home. Christel's got her hands full (and then some) and I hope to act as a pressure release valve. Plus, there was no way in hell I was staying away from her for another 2 months. She's already been gone a month. A month! I'm already a mess.

Sufficive to say, I will be a little preoccupied. So you can stow your "bastards" and the rest of that crap. I really don't care. I'm going to help someone I care the world for, that's my first priority. Liming and everything else comes a distant second. I love you guys, I hope you know that, so I hope you TOTALLY understand where I'm coming from and this needs no further explanation or discussion. I doubt I will be doing much moving about, and I have good reason for such. As for the rest of you, well nobody has maimed you. And for good measure my cell is 767-5919.

For those of you in the US, you can reach me at 954-678-2843 (although... I could forward my cell... can't I? HOT DAMN! I gotta look into that!). I got a SunRocket phone and fully intend to bypass TSTT and save myself a boatload of cash. I would have gotten Vonage but I poor =(

Christel's Mom is doing okay. She had the second surgery on her ankle and she's healing. I will be spending a LOT of time over there and I'm a little freaked out. Like I told Chris, families have certain chemistry, throw a stranger into the mix and lord know what could happen. I don't want them to end up hating me (or me them). I know she'll have my back though, 'cause I got hers with mine (which reminds me of a story, which if someone reminds me some time from now, I will share). Did I ever mention that I love being in love? It is at once the most euphoric, and painful (depressing?) thing in the world.

BTW, I know sufficive isn't a word.
