when the word is "ugh"
Sick. Fever, etc. etc. etc., and by that I mean all the worst symptoms illness has to offer. Luckily though, I've got an angel to take care of me.
For those of you who have not heard yet, I broke my 5th metacarpal in half on the 12th of May. There is a long story involved, but I will sum it up by saying, I was hurt, angry, and desired nothing more than to hit something - something that would cause me some level of pain. So I hit the concrete floor. Yes, brilliant choice I know. To which I heard a dainty "snap" and saw my bone make a triangular shape towards the heavens. Obviously not in my right mind I decided to "Lethal Weapon" (I'm very fond of the term ;) it back into place. I put my right hand against the wall and slammed the bone back into place with my left. Just to make sure I hit it a few more times. That hurt.
Soon after we went to the E.R., Chris and I stayed there for something like 9 hours, after which they finally bound me in a splint. The attendant and doctor were most concerned about my little Riggs move and were expecting more damage, but apparently I have X-Ray vision and got the bone back into place perfectly. Went to see the Orthopedist a few days later and they slapped me in a cast. It's due off on the 13th of June.
Showers are fun ;p
