the edge of the deep green sea

So I have been busy.

Your sighs and awkward glances are appreciated.

The highlight of my past week, was of course, seeing The Cure live in concert, for the first - and possibly only - time in my life. If I had to do it again I'd fly Michelle up from Trinidad for a day, get tickets for the Pit, and be even more mesmerized by a band I've had an unnatural attachment to since I was around 16.

The albums Wish & Disintegration saw me through CXC and A's, with a little Galore rounding off the latter bit. It was some of the most depressing fucking music in the world, and I loved it.

There are songs which hold particular meaning, songs that keep old wounds open, like Pictures of You, there are songs that take me through the whole spectrum of emotion and memory.

Seeing them live - they are all expected them to be, which is amazing.

Well, enough of that.

I also saw the Bourne Supremacy, it was alright, and The Village - now that was a bloody interesting movie. I've gotten back to the point where I allow myself to get sucked into a movie, I don't try to be clever and guess what's going to happen next anymore, I let the movie take me on its little ride. And guess what, I find I enjoy movies a whole lot more. If I'd have been the old me trying to figure out The Village's angle, sure I would have seen the "WoW" moments coming, but what fun is that?

I also spent close to $80 on phone cards this month, not good. Worth it, but still not good. They raised my fucking rent to $900, strange pains continue to pop up in my knees and stomach, our business accounts are so complicated I think our accountant is starting to wonder why he took us on, and the gray hair on my head is taking over.

Ah well, it's 7:13am, time to grab some sleep, the kind of sleep I have to resituate my position on the bed so the light creeping in through the blinds doesn't drive me to nail a sheet to the wall... again.

I leave you with a scan, because I have a scanner.

empty your pockets!

This is a placeholder for an entry that should be made later today, um, yeah.

Okay, so I lied.
